“Mike came as a recommendation from two friends of mine. He responded superfast and a few days later came over to have a look and to make a bid. He is not only super professional but also one of the nicest guys I ever met. A few days later we got hooked up with a Andersen renewal sales guy, who was super nice too (of course) but the bid was ridiculously higher than Mike’s. We are living on bayfarm and are part of an HOA. When I mentioned Mike’s name it was almost a no brainer: everybody knows him and his flawless reputation and he even helped me to fill out the application. Long story short: due to the rain, our installation got pushed back and we had to make the decision to either wait with it after our overseas travels or give him the keys. I came back yesterday to an extremely clean house with awesome new windows. Mike kept me updated through out and sent me pictures after the installation. Now I am feeling bad, that I couldn’t find a Harley Davidson t-shirt for him. So sorry Mike and thank you and your team. I just wish, you wouldn’t only do windows.”

“Mike and his crew of Roberto, Roger and Will were fantastic. Our craftsman house had a random mix of windows from the 1920’s, 1970’s and 1990’s with no consistent design. If you sat next to our old windows you could feel a breeze when they were closed. 

Mike worked with us to find windows similar to the original 1920’s windows, but double-pane and energy efficient. They all match in style and have the original framing details on the exterior. Mike worked with  two different brands of windows to stay within our budget. His team was creative and were serious craftsmen paying attention to every detail.

“I started talking to Mike a year ago about replacing my windows. When I called him and told him I was ready to go, he quickly arranged to come out, wrote up the order and said it would be about 3 weeks. The windows came in as promised and Mike and his crew completed the entire project in one day. Everything I asked for, which included extra sound proofing and pet screens, was done perfectly. The crew was courteous and conscientious, checked their work, and cleaned up, leaving no mess behind. They arrived when they promised and were done by at the end of the day, with no problems. “I am a repeat customer. I replaced my home’s windows in two phases. Both times US Window renewal responded quickly to my request for an estimate. Terri is friendly and knowledgeable. There were some delays in getting my windows made, however, Mike kept me informed and scheduled the work as soon as my window were delivered. The installation is amazing. Most people cannot even tell that the windows are replacements. US Window matched the framing of the windows to the original well both on the exterior and interior. Price was Right

“When we decided to replace the windows in our house, we contacted a number of different companies. We didn’t get a very good feeling about most of them(some didn’t seem to know the Berkeley requirements, some weren’t willing to get the building permits for us or they were going to charge an exorbitant fee for this and some were pushing brands that we never heard of). They also had very “slick” presentations that we didnt trust. When we called Mike Castricone of US Window Renewal, he answered the phone himself, agreed to come over the next day and was extremely prompt. He was very down to earth and personable. He seemed to know all of the regulations and gave us advice that indicated he had our interests at heart. He took the measurements right then, and pointed out a few regulations that we were unaware. of. One day later he e-mailed his bid to us and we were pleased to see that his price was near the low end of the other bids.

After a few days we called him to give him the job. He came back the next day to take final measurements, and told us that it would take about 4 weeks for the windows to be delivered. Just about 4 weeks later he called to tell us that the windows were in and we arranged to do the job the next Tuesday. His crew showed up on time on Tuesday and were done midday Wednesday. His crew was terrific. There were three of them, each one having his own specialty. They were extremely personable, and their work was perfect. We were very pleased with everything they did. It even starting raining at one point but that didnt slow them down at all. Then Mike came over with the approved permit and said that he wanted to be here when the building inspection was done. Our experience with Mike and US Window was the best we have ever had with a contractor.”

“Mike, the President, CEO came to speak with me himself. He explained to me about the different types of windows and received three other estimates. I felt the chemistry was good between us and he gave me the best price. When the windows were ready to be installed, he had 3 of his workers come by that day. The three workers were very professional, productive, polite, detail oriented and very experienced and they cleaned up after themselves every night and left my house spotless every night. “We are now using Mike and his crew from US Window Renewal on our second project. The first was an old, sloping triplex full of rotted out windows and doors. His crew jokingly remarked that it was more crooked than the Winchester Mystery House, but all of the windows and doors came out looking great. Mike took our budget into consideration and came up with great solutions. We used vinyl windows that looked beautiful and fit right in with the converted bungalow’s appearance. Our newest project is a custom door to match an old Tudor style house. Mike and his office have given us a lot of options and are really easy to work with.
